Dr. Hiten R Patel BDS ILM PG CERT CLIN ED.

(GDC no: 54837)
Clearstep/ Implant / Cosmetic Surgeon

I qualified from Bristol University in 1980, having worked in London for 2 years, decided to establish my own practice. I have been the Senior Clinical Director and Principal at Abington Dental Practice for 30 years. I have a keen interest in Advanced restorative dentistry , Cosmetic dentistry, Facial Aesthetics, and have a special interest in placing dental implants. The post graduate education allows me to practice Dentistry at the highest level. I spend a great deal of time on developing my skills as a dentist, attending courses nationally and internationally to learn from some of the world’s greatest cosmetic & implant dental surgeons. I have been a Foundation Dentist Trainer for 13 years teaching newly qualified dentists and this has now culminated in the Post Graduate Certificate in Clinical Education. I hope to do the Diploma as well, leading to an Msc. I have now created a multi disciplined centre to provide patients the best possible care.

In my spare time I enjoys skiing, music and keeping fit.
I am a member of BDA, GDC, FGDP, BACD, C.O.D.E, ADi, and ICOI.

Dr Avinash Patel BDS (LON)

(GDC no: 245183)
I qualified from the prestigious Barts and The London University in 2013. Having enjoyed my time away in London I was eager to return back to more familiar surroundings in Northamptonshire where I grew up and joined Abington Dental Practice in 2014.

I thoroughly enjoy the opportunity in general practice to provide a wide variety of treatments, and have a personal goal to provide all of my patients with confidence in their smile whilst encouraging a positive attitude in preventing dental disease.

I am passionate about the profession and continually invest in personal development regularly attending courses to further my clinical skills alongside undertaking post-graduate examinations accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons. This also includes a yearlong Cosmetic and Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry course as well as a Certificate in Periodontics, learning from the leading names in the profession in order to push myself to be at the forefront of modern dentistry. I am also certified to provide fixed and removable short term orthodontic solutions to straighten teeth.

I take pride in establishing a solid rapport with my patients of all ages allowing them to feel at ease from their very first visit. It is extremely rewarding to restore their faith in modern dentistry and to exceed their expectations with innovative pain-free minimally invasive techniques to create positive (and dare I say pleasant!) dental experiences.

When away from the Practice my family and friends keep me occupied. I am a keen traveller and have an interest in different cultures, along with spiritual development.

I am about to start a mentoring course to aid me with the training of student nurses that we undertake within the practice. I love all aspects of my job, the opportunity to progress and the team within the practice and, of course the patients.

In my spare time - if I get any - I like to read, listen to music and spend time with family and friends.

Susan Fairley

My name is Susan Fairley. I am a Dental Nurse/Receptionist. I qualified in 1974 whilst working in General Practice in Durham. I currently work part time at Abington Dental Surgery. After qualifying I took up a post in the Community Dental Service where I gained experience in Conscious Sedation, General Anaesthesia, Orthodontics and took part in national surveys. My post also involved Invidulating at the National Examination for Dental Nurses.

I became a member of the British Association of Dental Nurses in 1974 and have remained so to this day.

I left Dentistry in 1984 to have my family and during that period I attended college to gain qualifications in Art,3D Design, Photography and Graphic Design. I still photograph and paint for my own pleasure and to also comply a portfolio. My other interests include, Reading, Walking, Travel and Gardening.

My return to Dentistry has been an interesting one as now computers have replaced pen and paper, materials are in tubes and there is always so much to learn, which explains why I still love my job.

Dr Ayesha Ejaz BDS (LON) MJDF RCS

GDC 178566
I obtained my Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Dental Institute of Kings College University of London. I joined the practice in January 2018, after working in Oxfordshire for 7 years. However, Northampton has always been my home town and I have been fortunate to have found a lovely practice to provide high quality of dental care so close to my home.

I obtained my membership to the Royal College of Surgeons (England) via the MJDF RCS (eng) qualification.

I am a big believer in post graduate education and training to improve the quality of my patient care and for this reason I have attended several courses since completing my dental degree. This includes completing a yearlong certificate in Cosmetic Dentistry by Advanced Dental Seminars, which is run by the President of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

I am also certified to provide fixed and removable orthodontics solutions to straighten front teeth, including Inman Aligner, Clear Smile Brace (IAS Academy) and clear Aligners.

One of my clinical strengths is direct composite work (white fillings). I also like to focus my dentistry on prevention skills and enjoy building a good rapport with my patients of all ages with my gentle and caring nature.

Outside of Dentistry, I am a busy mum for two babies and enjoy spending time with my family and children.
